Reasons for Organically Gardening

What exactly is meant by organically gardening and why would you do it?

By gardening organically, you are no longer using chemicals to keep your garden healthy.

When you eliminate all chemicals used in regular gardening, your vegetables will be healthier because they will get the nutrients by natural means.

This is different from the traditional gardening, as organic gardening will help to prevent potentially harmful toxins from entering your body. And of course it is much more environmentally friendly.

The biggest problem with modern gardening products, are the man-made chemicals. The gardening products commonly used nowadays, such as pesticides, fertilizers, etc. contaminate the health of humans and the health of the environment.

You didn't think that the chemicals you use only stay on the soil, did you?

These chemicals seep into the ground and poison water supplies, your home, gardens, and as mentioned, your health.

Part of the problem with the reduction of the Earth's ozone layer, is the use of modern gardening products containing man-made chemicals. They also have been linked to serious health problems, such as cancer, in humans.

By deciding to go the organic gardening route, you help reducing the greenhouse effect, no longer destroying the environment, but more importantly, you can eliminate the concern for you and your family's health and well-being.

The danger of using modern gardening products is that the toxic chemicals are transferred to you and your clothing. Once it is on you or your clothes, these toxic chemicals could be transferred to your children or significant other.

As said before, if you plant vegetables non-organically, toxic chemicals will be absorbed by your vegetables; and in turn, will be ingested by you and your family. In fact, one common ailment which affects avid gardeners is dermatitis.

Stop using the chemicals and you can also eliminate getting dermatitis of the hands. By deciding to garden organically, you'll help prevent the poisoning of groundwater and prevent adding further toxins to the soil.

When the modern chemicals are used for gardening, it is not only doing the job it is supposed to do, but it also poisons other plants.

And because of these man-made chemicals poisoning the water and other plants, it can be dangerous, or even deadly, to small creatures that rely on the water to drink or plants to eat.
